No experience required
USD Women’s Rowing is a DI NCAA varsity sport, actively looking to add qualified female athletes to our roster. Walk on tryouts occur every fall in the early weeks of Fall Semester. Walk on prospects must be enrolled full time at USD to be eligible.
Rowing is a sport that requires grit, determination, selflessness, endurance and strength. Do you think you have what it takes to row for USD?
We are seeking athletes for rowing who meet the following criteria:

- Looking to be a part of something bigger than themselves

Another critical role on the rowing team is the
coxswain–who attends all practices and serves as an intermediary between the coaches and the rowing athletes. They steer and direct the boats, and encourage rowers to get the best out of themselves.
We are seeking athletes for
coxing who meet the following criteria:
- 5’5” or shorter
- Athletic or military background preferred but not required
- Able to lead peers with confidence and authority
- Able to prioritize safety and use good judgment in fast-paced environments

If either of these roles sound like you–we would love to connect!
