Fourth year swimmer for the Toreros

What is your most memorable moment in your USD swimming or diving career?

My most memorable moment would have to be my last swim as a Torero at the WAC Championship meet. As I got out of the pool I remember this feeling of calmness and feeling that the past four years as a swimmer at USD were the best four years of my life.

What is your favorite food in general or pre-swim meet meal?

for both actually, my mom[apos]s fish tacos.

What makes the USD swim/dive experience so unique?

The relationship that all the girls on the team have with each other, we have a really family-type atmosphere among our team.

What is your favorite TV Show?

The Office.

Who is your role model and why?

My mom, she works extremely hard at everything she does and would do anything for her family.

Swam for Lahainaluna High in Lahaina, HI, Maui Interscholastic League champions her sophomore campaign... Was state champion in the 200 freestyle and team MVP her sophomore year... Team captain and MVP her junior and senior years...

Personal

Born in Maui, HI to John and Paula Pope... Member of Lahaina Swim Club where she earned 1st in state small team division... Also lettered in cross country as a prep... Chose USD for its aesthetic value, surrounding community and its swimming program... Also recruited by Loyola Marymount ... Accounting major.
