Honors & Awards:
• All-WCC Doubles Honorable Mention (w/ Drew Spinosa) - 2015
Junior (2014-15): Earned All-WCC honorable mention in doubles with Drew Spinosa... Went 13-14 overall in singles with a 6-9 mark in dual matches in her first year at USD... Went 2-7 at the No. 2 spot and 4-2 at the no. 3 spot... Went 13-15 overall in doubles with a 9-8 mark in dual matches at the No. 1 spot with Drew Spinosa.
Sophomore (2013-2014): At Marshall University, compiled a 7-4 singles record in the fall season... Won her singles flight in the Hookie Fall Invite Tournament... Went 7-5 in doubles... Lost to the No. 2 pair in the country, Garcia and Fuller of Georgia... Advanced to the round of 16 at the ITA Atlantic Regional... Was named to the 2014 All-Conference USA singles second team and the doubles third team... Led the lineup in the No. 1 spot and posted an overall mark of 9-13 this spring... Most recently defeated the No. 1 of No. 21 Tulsa (Yelena Nemchen) in the semifinals of the C-USA Championships... Went 7-12 in doubles play, 7-11 combined in the No. 1 and 2 spots with Derya Turhan. Also, accomplished Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Freshman (2012-2013): At Marshall University, in the fall season posted a 3-8 singles record and a 9-3 doubles record while winning two doubles championships in her first semester of action... Teamed with Karli Timko to win the B-Flight Doubles Championship at the UVA Fall Invitational... Reunited with Timko to claim the White Draw Doubles championship at the Kitty Harrison Invitational... Also partnered Timko at the ITA Atlantic Regional and advanced all the way to the round of 16 in the doubles competition... Tallied a 10-13 singles record and a13-8 doubles record with partner Karli Timko... Went 1-1 in singles matches during Conference USA play... Tallied a 3-0 record playing at No. 5.
Personal: Born April 22, 1993 in Karlsruhe, Germany... Daughter of Martin and Agatina Oppinger... Chose the Torero program because she "always wanted to come here and it finally worked out"... Received two varsity letters from Marshall University before transferring to USD... Enjoys art, photography, and fashion. Besides playing tennis, also enjoys soccer and traveling to new places... Speaks English, Italian, Spanish, German and French... Majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish.
