SENIOR (2019)
- Competed in all six meets for the Toreros
- Finished 14th overall (26:56) at the USD Invite (9/13/19)
- Placed 63rd (26:25.45) at the WCC Championships in Van Nuys, CA (11/1/19)
- Recorded a time of 32:14.4 and a top-150 finish at the NCAA Regionals in Colfax, WA (11/15/19)
JUNIOR (2018)
- Competed in all six meets for the Toreros, including the WCC Championships and NCAA Regionals
- Finished 8th overall in the USD Invite
- Ran a season-best 25:41.1 in the 8k at the 2018 Highlander Invitational (10/13/18)
SOPHOMORE (2017)
- Ran a personal best in the 1500m (3:59.44) at the Steve Scott Invitational
FRESHMAN (2016)
- Competed in all six of USD's races in the fall
- Set a personal record with a time of 25.32.9 at the Bronco Invite
- Improved his pace throughout the season; from 5:41 to 5:08
- Finished fifth amongst Toreros at the WCC championships with a time of 27.41.8
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Damien High School where he earned four varsity letters under Coach Doc Williams
- Was team captain his last two years
- Was All San Gabriel Valley Honorable Mention his senior year and helped his team make the CIF-SS prelims where he ran a 15:57
- His sophomore year ran the three mile in 15:49 at Woodbridge Invitational
- Named Best newcomer his freshman year
- Also competed in track for four years, helping his team win three league titles
- Was team captain his senior year
- Top times from track: 2:05 (800m), 4:36 (1600m), and 9:49 (3200m)
PERSONAL
- Born February 25, 1998 in Upland, CA to Laura and Kelly Bruce
- Chose USD for the quality education, Catholic identity, beautiful campus, ideal location, and the opportunity to run at the DI level
- Was also recruited by Pepperdine, UC Irvine, Concordia, and Pacific University of Oregon
- His brother Jacob also ran XC at USD
