STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC) CENTRAL

2019-20 Leadership Positions

Responsibilities as President include:

• Attend and preside over SAAC meetings; assist with the facilitation and discussion of topics such as NCAA and Conference policies/legislation, bystander behavior, character education, game attendance, organization and marketing of social events, and community service programming
• Provide leadership and direction of SAAC initiatives, activities and events and the Executive Board
• Serve as liaison to the Athletic Department
• Assists with SAAC agenda
• Help to build a sense of community and spirit amongst all athletics teams
• Attend and/or participate in conference SAAC meetings or teleconferences
• Assist in the growth and development of SAAC

Role as Vice President includes:

• Represent the team at monthly meetings and participate in the discussion of topics such as NCAA and Conference policies/legislation, bystander behavior, character education, game attendance, organization and marketing of social events, and community service programming
• Contribute to SAAC agenda
• Help to build a sense of community and spirit amongst all athletics teams
• Attend and/or participate in conference SAAC meetings or teleconferences
• Take minutes at SAAC meetings and disseminate minutes to the SAAC advisor
• Advise and counsel the president as needed
• In the absence of the president, preside at SAAC meetings
