Played in 33 of 35 games, making 11 starts for the Ducks … Averaged 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game … Season-high 19 points (7-10 FG) vs. SMU … Scored 14 points in five games, including all three OSU games … Hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 13 seconds left in the road win against the Beavers … His half-court heave to beat the clock against OSU at home was one of the highlights of the season … Lone double-double of the season was also against the Beavers, when he added 11 rebounds to his 14 points on 1/10 at OSU … Reached double-digit scoring 16 times and finished with three steals on four occasions.

Sophomore (2018-19) [at Duquense]

• Led the team in scoring (14.0) and rebounding (7.6) and finished second in 3-pointers made (56) and steals (36).
• Was the first sophomore to lead DU in scoring and rebounding since Wayne Smith in 2000 (16.7, 7.0).
• Was one of three players to see action on all 32 games.
• Exploded for a career-high 40 points on Mar. 6 at Saint Louis (15-of-20 from the field, including 7-of-9 from 3-point). The 40 points were the most by a Duke since Aaron Jackson’s 46 in a 116-108 2OT loss at Virginia Tech in the 2009 NIT. The 40 points were the most in a regulation game since Mark Stevenson had 44 in an Atlantic 10 Tournament win over Saint Joseph’s at the Palestra on March 3, 1990. It was the second-highest scoring game ever by a DU sophomore (Jim Tucker had 42 vs. Baldwin-Wallace on Mar. 3, 1952).
• Had six double-doubles: vs. UIC (18-11), vs. Radford (14-10), vs. Longwood (22-12), vs. Eastern Kentucky (21-14), vs. Fordham (16-13) and vs. Saint Louis (16-12).
• Scored 23 in the season finale vs. Saint Joe’s at the A-10 Championship. Added 22 three times: vs. UMass Lowell, vs. Longwood and vs. George Washington.
• Had two games with four steals (UMass Lowell and at La Salle).
• Hit four or more 3-pointers three times: 4-9 vs. Eastern Kentucky, 4-6 at Dayton & 7-9 at Saint Louis.
• Returned to the starting lineup for the first time in five games on Dec. 19 vs. Penn State and finished with a team-high 21 points and seven rebounds. Followed that with 21 points - including the game-winner on a jump hook with 14 seconds left in overtime - and 14 rebounds vs. Eastern Kentucky. Was named A-10 co-Player of the Week (Dec. 24) for his effort.
• Scored 14 of his team-high 16 in the second half and added 13 boards vs. Fordham on Jan. 9.
• Posted team highs with 20 points and nine rebounds at Dayton (4-of-6 from 3-point).
• Scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half at La Salle. Added eight rebounds and a career high-tying four steals vs. the Explorers. Followed that by going 7-of-11 in scoring 22 vs. GW to earn A-10 co-Player of the Week for the second time on Feb. 18.
• Hit three or more 3-pointers in a game nine times.
• Scored 84 points (28.0 ppg.) in DU’s last three games (40 at Saint Louis, 21 vs. Dayton and 23 vs. Saint Joseph’s). Shot 65.3 percent (32-of-49), including 11-of-20 from 3-point and averaged 7.7 rebounds over that three-game span.

 

Freshman (2017-18) [at Duquense]

• Was the youngest player named to the 2018 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team (one year and 10 months younger than Davidson’s Kellan Grady, one year and six months younger than Richmond’s Grant Golden, one year and three months younger than Saint Louis’ Hasahn French and 12 days younger than Dayton’s Jalen Crutcher).
• Was named A-10 Rookie of the Week four times (11/13, 12/11, 1/8 & 1/22). The four ROW honors were one shy of the school record shared by Robert Mitchell (2007) and T.J. McConnell (2011).
• Finished eighth among Division I freshmen in rebounds per game. Six of the seven ahead of him were rated as ‘4- or 5-star’ recruits by ESPN.COM including Deandre Ayton (Arizona), Marvin Bagley (Duke), Mo Bamba (Texas), Brandon McCoy (UNLV), Wendell Carter Jr. (Duke) and Oshae Brissett (Syracuse).
• Ranked tied for tenth among Division I freshmen with 11 double-doubles.
• Was the third-leading freshman scorer and top freshman rebounder in the Atlantic 10.
• Was 18th in scoring, second in rebounding and 11th in steals in the Atlantic 10 (all games).
• Started 31 of 32 games. The lone non-start came in the season opener vs. St. Francis Brooklyn.
• Finished one-tenth of a point shy of becoming the second freshman in school history to lead the Dukes in both scoring and rebounding. Williams Jr., whose 14.3 points per game were second to Mike Lewis II’s 14.4 ppg., just missed joining Wayne Smith (16.6, 6.2), who accomplished the feat in 1998-99.
• Finished tied for second on Duquesne’s freshman total points list with 458. His 280 rebounds were 11 shy of passing Dick Ricketts (290 in 1952) for most by a DU freshman.
• Set Duquesne single-game freshman records for points, with 34 vs. George Mason, and rebounds, with 16 vs. Stetson. The scoring record had stood since 1915 (32 set by Mike Morrissey vs. Canisius on Feb. 24, 1915) and the rebounding mark since 1983 (15 shared by three players the last was Greg Harrison vs. Baylor on Dec. 28, 1983).
• Set a new school record with nine 3-pointers (9-of-15) in his 34-point outing vs. George Mason.
• Broke the freshman record for 3-pointers in a season (67-of-184, .364), eclipsing the old mark of 63 set by teammate Mike Lewis II in 2016-17.
• His 11 double-doubles and 14 double-digit rebound games tied the most by a DU freshman (record set by Bruce Atkins in 1978-79). Had six double-doubles in 18 conference games.
• His 14 double-digit rebound games & 11 double-doubles ranked second in the conference.
• His 24 double-digit scoring games tied the third-most by a DU freshman.
• Scored 20 or more six times.
• Was the first freshman in five years to post a double-double in a season opener with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win over St. Francis Brooklyn. Scored 15 points - including three dunks - in the second half alone and added five free throws in the final :26 to preserve the 80-70 victory.
• His 17 points vs. SFC were the most by a DU freshman in a season-opener since Derrick Colter had 17 at Albany on Nov. 9, 2012.
• Was named A-10 co-Rookie of the Week (Nov. 13) following the SFC game.
• Added his third double-double with a 24 points and 11 rebounds vs. MDES. Had four 3-pointers (4-of-6) and three dunks in the win.
• Set a new Duquesne freshman record with 16 rebounds in posting his fourth double-double, 11-16 vs. Stetson. Added four assists (without a turnover) and two steals against the Hatters.
• Hit five 3-pointers (5-of-6) in scoring 22 points vs. Delaware State.
• Had 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the A-10-opening win over Dayton.
• Posted double-double number six with 21 points and 12 boards vs. George Washington. Went 5-of-6 from 3-point vs. the Colonials.
• Was named ROW for a third time (Jan. 8) following the GW/at Fordham games.
• Named ROW for fourth time after back-to-back double-doubles at Saint Louis (11-10) and vs. George Mason (34-11, school record nine “3s” & freshman record 34 points).
• Went 5-of-9 from the arc in scoring a team-high 25 vs. Richmond.
• Had an 18-12 double-double at Saint Joseph’s and followed that with a team-high 19 points at St. Bonaventure.
• Went for 20 and 11 with four assists vs. Saint Louis (4-of-6 from 3-point).

 

High School

• New Haven High School in New Haven, Mich. (head coach Tedaro France II).
• Was the leading scorer for the 27-1 Class B State Champion Rockets. New Haven was the second boys basketball team (first since 1994) in Macomb County history to win a state title.
• Averaged 20.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.5 steals per game as a senior.
• Had 38 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists in a 108-103 triple overtime win over Flint Beecher.
• Scored 50 points (20-of-26 from the field) in a Macomb Area Conference (MAC) playoff  win over Fraser and followed that with 40 points in a MAC Blue/Gold Division win over Warren Woods-Tower.
• Scored 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds and five steals in a regional championship game vs. Notre Dame Prep.
• Was named Prep Hoops Class B Player of the Year, Class B all-state by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, first team All-East by the Detroit News, second team Class B all-state by The Associated Press (panel of 10 Michigan sportswriters) and third team all-state by the Detroit Free Press.
• Helped New Haven to back-to-back league, district and regional championships.
• Averaged a team-high 17.1 points per game to go along with 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.5 assists per game as a junior.
