HIGH SCHOOL
- Competed at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo under coach Ron DiMaggio
- Qualified for the California cross country state meet as a junior
- Qualified for the California track and field state meet in the 4x400-meter relay as a senior
- Named second-team all-league as a senior
- Owns career bests of 2:00 in the 800 meters and 4:29 in the 1600 meters
- Also played soccer as a freshman and sophomore and played baseball outside of school through his sophomore year
- Member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation, and earned the Arts Graduation Medal
