SOPHOMORE (2017-18)
  • Completed his second season with the USD men's golf program in 2017-18
  • Named All-WCC honorable mention
  • Named a San Diego Hall of Champions Amateur Star of the Month (April)
  • Competed in nine tournaments and finished with a team-best scoring average of 74.4 strokes per round
  • Tied for first at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate (212, -4; 71-68-73)
  • Tied for ninth at WCC Championships (2-15, -1; 69-74-72)
  • Carded a season-low round of 68 in second round of Desert Mountain
FRESHMAN (2016-17)
  • During his freshman campaign he competed in eight tournaments and finished with a stroke average of 74.7
  • On two occasions he fired a 69 in tournment play (3rd round of Desert Mountain; 2nd round of Oregon Duck Invitational)
  • Tied for 20th at the 2017 WCC Championships (217; 70-73-74)
  • Tied for 26th at The Prestige at PGA WEST (218; 73-71-74)
HIGH SCHOOL
  • Is a four-time All-District and All-Region golfer from the state of Texas after attending three different high schools (Belton, Junior & Senior; Salado, Sophomore; Central Texas Christian School, Freshman)

  • State individual runner-up & All-State honors his freshman year
  • Placed 3rd in state individually his sophomore year (Salado HS) & All-State honors

  • Placed 1st at TJGTTPC Craig Ranch carding a 5-under 139 (70/69)
  • Tied for first at the Legends Texas Junior Championship shooting a 1-under par total of 215 (68/73/74) on the challenging RamRock course
  • Place first at TJGT Brackenridge Park with a 4-under par total of 138 (72/66), and placed 2nd at the Texas Masters/Junior World Qualifiers with a 1-under par total of 140 (71/69)
  • Also lettered in basketball (freshman year, All-District & team MVP; sophomore year, All-District)

  • Chose USD for solid golf program with a track record of participating at Nationals, academic excellence and incredible climate and golf courses
  • Also recruited by ASU, AFA, Baylor, North Texas, Oklahoma, Rice, Sam Houston State, Central Florida, Houston and Texas-San Antonio
  • Notes his father, Ty Hankamer, played football at Air Force Academy (1984-86) and that his grandfather, Ed Moehling, played on the PGA circuit
