Biography
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: UNLV (2018-2022)
GRADUATE (2022-2023)
- Competed in nine events for the Toreros, compiling a scoring average of 74.05 across 24 rounds
- Finished second at the Saint Mary’s Invitational (Oct. 31-Nov. 2) with a six-under 207 (69, 67, 71)
- Finished 75th at the NCAA Bath Regional (May 17)
- Helped USD to wins at the Saint Mary’s Invitational, Wyoming World Matchplay Championships, and El Macero Classic
SENIOR (2021-2022)
- Played in eight tournaments totaling 24 rounds in 2021-22
- Low single-round score of 2-under 69 came in the first round of the Trinity Forest Invitational
- Lowest tournament score of 4-under 204 (69-70-70) and best finish (5th place) both came at Trinity Forest
- Three top 40 finishes, fifth at Trinity Forest, tied for 31st at the Wolf Pack Classic and tied for 38th at the Mountain West Championship
- Finished the season with a 74.0 scoring average, 73 birdies, three eagles and eight rounds at par or better.
JUNIOR (2020-2021)
- Earned a second consecutive Academic All-Mountain West Team honor
- Played in seven tournaments totaling 21 rounds
- Lowest single-round score was 4-under 68 (1 time)
- Lowest tournament score was 7-under 209 (69-69-71) at the Jackrabbit Invitational
- Collected one top 10 finish, 5th at the Jackrabbit Invitational, and one top twenty finish, 14th place at Sewailo
- Finished the season with a 73.33 scoring average
SOPHOMORE (2019-20)
- Named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar and the the Academic All-Mountain West Team
- He was recognized as a Dean's Honor List member for Spring 2020
- He was also the recipient of the Bruce Parker Award, which goes to the Rebel golfer with the highest grade point average on the team
- Played in eight tournaments, totaling 24 rounds
- Was second on the team in scoring average with 73.54
- His best finish was a tie for ninth at the Jackrabbit Invitational
- Totaled two top-20 finishes on the season
- Shot par or better eight times
- His best round was a 69.
FRESHMAN (2018-19)
- Was named to the All-MW Team on the golf course as well as the academic all-conference squad and was a MW Scholar-Athlete Award recipient
- Made the Dean's List in fall of 2018 and spring of 2019
- Played in 13 tournaments, totaling 39 rounds
- His scoring average of 72.69 ranked fifth on the team
- Recorded two top-10 finishes, tying for ninth at the John Burns Intercollegiate and The Goodwin
- Shot par or better 15 times and was in the 60s eight times
- Tied for 11th at the German International Amateur Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL
- A 2017 graduate of Sports School of the Olympic Park - Poelchau School in Berlin, Germany (same school that Falko Hanisch attended)
- Coached by Gregor Tilch
- His team finished second at the Europe Team Championship in 2017
- He tied for fifth individually
- Tied for 11th at the 2017 Italian International Amateur and 14th at the Junior Orange Bowl
- Tied for second at the Fairhaven Trophy in 2016
- Tied for ninth at the French Amateur in 2017
- Also played at the Junior Team World Cup in 2017 where he finished 20th as an individual.
PERSONAL
- Born to Evelyn Rauch and Friedrich Roth in Husum, Germany
- Majored in hospitality management at UNLV
- Enjoys playing soccer, listening to music and going to the fitness center in his free time
- Has a brother, Marcel, who plays golf at Little Rock.
