Biography
FRESHMAN (2025)
- Appeared in four races for the Toreros
- Made her collegiate debut at the Aztec Coastal Classic (August 29) where she led the Toreros and finished the 5K in 16th place at 18:47
- Finished second on the team and 12th overall in her first 6K race at The Master’s Invitational (September 20) with a time of 22:33.5, helping the Toreros place second
- Wrapped up her freshman campaign finished second on the team with 22:36.2 at the NCAA West Regionals (November 14)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Liberty Creek High School in Gallatin, Tenn.
- Finished third at the TSSAA DI A-AA 5000m her senior year
- 2024 TSSAA DI A-AA State Champion in cross country and 2024 TSSAA DI A 3200m and 4x800m State Champion
- Finished second at the 2024 Tennessee HS Indoor Championships in the two-mile race
- TSSAA DI AA Regional 5000m Cross Country Champion and TSSAA DI AAA Regional 3200m Track and Field Champion as a freshman
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Karen and Alan Tackett, born in Nashville
- Has a sister, Kess
- On why she chose USD: "I love the ocean and am also big into the film industry, making California perfect. I also loved the school size and was looking for a team and coach that were a great fit."
- Used to be in choir and band, loves to sing and still does it frequently ... Can play Careless Whisper on the saxophone
