HONORS & AWARDS
- WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention - 2017
- WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll - 2015 & 2016
JUNIOR (2016-17)
- Raced in the V8+ all year
- Placed second in both races as two seat at the Longhorn Invite
- Raced at the San Diego Crew Classic at two seat
- Finished third as two seat at the Dale England Cup
- Stroked the Toreros to a second place finish at the WCC Championships
SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
- Rowed in three seat of V8+ all year
- Helped team tie for first at WCC Championships
- Helped V8+ finish second at WCC Championships
- Raced in the V8+ that took second at the Windemere Cup
- Helped V8+ finish fourth in every race at the Clemson Invite
- In the V8+ for SD Crew Classic
- Competed with V8+ at the Longhorn Invite
FRESHMAN (2014-15)
- After starting the season on the Novice 8, finished the year competing with the V8+ at USD's final two competitions (@ Texas & the WCC Championships)
- Helped USD tie for first at the WCC Championships
- Helped the 2V8 beat Notre Dame and Gonzaga at the Lake Natoma Invite
- Was part of the Novice 8 crew that took first place at the Crew Classic
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Everett High School where she rowed for Coach Padraic McGovern
- Rowed for the Everett Rowing Association
- In her senior year was named "Most Inspirational" and helped her squad advance to Nationals after taking third at Regionals
- In her junior year was named "Novice Oarsmen of the Year," and took third place in Nationals
- Also played soccer, golf, and participated in track
- Helped her soccer team qualify for state twice
PERSONAL
- Born August 28, 1995 in Everett, Wash. to Claire and Paul Bird
- Chose USD for the proximity to beach, the warm climate, the beautiful campus, and the friendly and supporting coaching staff
- Was also recruited by Washington, Cal, and Oregon State
- Notes she has been skiing since she was three
- Loves to cook breakfast
- Her father Paul played basketball at Washington and her brother wrestles at the Colorado School of Mines
