Biography
SOPHOMORE (2022-2023)
FRESHMAN (2021-2022)
- Competed in two events for the Toreros in the 3V8+ and the 1V8+
- Raced with the USD 3V8+ in the San Diego Fall Classic and the 1V8+ in the Long Beach Christmas Regatta
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Hackensack High School and founded the school’s rowing team
- Was voted captain of the rowing team by her teammates all four years of high school
- Won the 2018 Garden State Championship in the Women’s 2x
- Notched a Scholastic National appearance in the Women’s 2x (2018)
- Had a Youth National appearance in the 1x (2020)
- Also competed in Equestrian, Volleyball, and Soccer
PERSONAL
- Born to Walter and Myrna Gotrell
- Has two brothers, Matthew and Graeham
- Father played professional soccer and won an NCAA Championship with Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) as a three-year starting goalkeeper
- Brother Matthew played soccer for Montclair State University
- Is considering a major in Architecture and a minor in Real Estate and a career in either field
- Was named to her high school’s Honor Roll and was elected the junior class president
- Was a member of the National Spanish Honor Society and served as an assistant coach of the Children’s Rowing Program at Bergen County Rowing Academy
- Enjoys biking, hanging out with friends, playing piano, watching soccer games & making t-shirts
