Senior (2013-14): Named WCC Rower of the Year... Named to the CRCA All-America Second Team, becoming just the second Torero ever to earn that honor (Ali Cox, 2001)... Named to CRCA All-West Region First Team... Competed with +V8 in all races at No. 7 seat... Helped USD win 2014 WCC Championship... Helped USD earn first berth in NCAA Championships in school history, where they took 15th place overall. Junior (2012-13): Named the WCC Newcomer of the Year... Was named WCC All-Academic (3.67 GPA) and named to the WCC Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll... Raced with the V8 at the WCC Championships... Competed in every race during the fall and every varsity event in the spring... Was named the team[apos]s co-rookie of the year, along with Avalon Koenig. Previous College: Rowed two seasons at Michigan State... Was team captain during the 2011-12 season... Was the only freshman to row with the V8 during the 2010-11 campaign... Rowed with MSU[apos]s V8 squad in the NCAA Championships as a sophomore... Her freshman year rowed with MSU[apos]s 2V8 that took seventh in the NCAA Championships... Named to the Dean[apos]s List every semester and awarded High Honors at the Athlete Academic Gala. High School: Attended Paraparaumu College... Did not row until her senior year... Took first at the Lower North Island Championships for under 18 Single Scull... First at the Wellington Championships for the under 17 Single Scull... First at Jury Cup for Club Women[apos]s single... First at Jury Cup for Under 17 girls single... First at Jury Cup for Club Women Pair... First at Jury Cup for Club Women Double... Won the Wanganui Championships for Under 18 Single Scull... Took second at Wanganui Championships for Under 17 Single Scull... Among her numerous accolades in these sports, she took first at the Triathlon College Sport Wellington Regional competition in 2006 and was the 2008 and 2009 senior girl[apos]s cross country champion. Personal: Born January 10, 1992 in Gisborne, New Zealand... Daughter of Adele and Bevan Campbell... Chose USD because for a variety of reasons, including the exceptional academic reputation, the rowing team and the beautiful city and campus... Was also recruited by Oregon State and Clemson... Notes that her favorite sports team is the All Blacks... Some of her favorite activities are hiking, fishing, free diving and going to the beach.
