Biography
JUNIOR (2024-25)
- WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention
- Competed in 11 events across all nine regattas for the Toreros
- Placed sixth out of 42 teams in the Club 8 race of the Head of the Charles Regatta (October 21)
- Took a fourth place finish out of 17 schools in the 1V8+ boat of the Collegiate 8+ race during the San Diego Fall Classic (November 10)
- Logged a third place finish in the opening 2V8+ race of the San Diego Crew Classic (March 29-30)
- Registered two second place finishes in the 1V8+ races during the Triton Invite (April 26-27)
- Placed second in the first 2V8+ race of the WCC Championships (May 16-17)
SOPHOMORE (2023-24)
- All-WCC Team Member
- Competed in five of USD’s six events
- Recorded a top 10 finish at the Head of the Charles Regatta (October 21) in the Club 8+ race to kick off the year facing off against 40 schools
- Logged two third place finishes in the 1V8 at the Cardinal Invite (March 16-17)
- Registered two wins and a runner up finish in the 1V8+ at the UCSD Invitational (April 20-21)
- Had back-to-back runner-up finishes to end the season in the 1V8+ boat at the WIRA Championships (April 27-28) and the WCC Championships (May 18)
FRESHMAN (2022-23)
- Competed in five races for the Toreros in the 1V8 and 2V8
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Lise Meitner Gymnasium in Hamburg, Germany
- Won nine medals at the Swiss National championships (4 gold, 5 silver) and won three Junior European Championships
PERSONAL
- Born to Svjetlana Zdjelar and Midhad Goretic in Rheinfelden, Germany
- Enjoys playing tennis and swimming in her free time
