HIGH SCHOOL
- Swam at Northampton High School and for Sunrise Swim Club where she was coached by Peter Davis
- Named an All Western Massachusetts First Team selection as a junior and senior
- Won the state championship in the 100 yard backstroke as a junior and won the 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard individual medley as a senior
- Career best times are as follows: 200 backstroke (2:01.79), 50 freestyle (24.09), 100 backstroke (56.95) and 400 individual medley (4:32.74)
PERSONAL
- Parents are Maria Koziol-Guerra and Claudio Guerra
- Mother, Maria swam collegiately at North Carolina earning All-American honors every season she competed in Chapel Hill
- Maria also competed at the 1988 Olympic Trials in the 200 backstroke
