• MPSF All-Academic (2011, 2012 & 2013)
Senior (2012-13): Named MPSF All-Academic (3.45 GPA)... In the top-3 on the team in the 1650 Free with a season-best (18:01.10) at the 2013 MPSF Championships... Established career-bests in the 200 IM (2:11.68) and 400 IM (4:35.05) at the MPSF Championships.
Junior (2011-12): Named MPSF All-Academic... Clocked season-bests in the 50 free (27.19), 200 free (2:02.53), 500 free (5:21.70) and 1650 free (18:00.55) at the 2011 Arena Invitational.
Sophomore (2010-2011): Named MPSF All-Academic... Notched a time of 4:39 in the 400 IM, 5:16 in the 500 free, and 17:55 in the 1650 free.
Freshman (2009-2010): Clocked a season-best time of 4:36 in the 400 IM... Posted a time of 5:16 in the 500 free and a 18:08 in the 1650 free.
High School: Attended Bothell High School...Was a state qualifier sophomore through senior year...All-King-Co Honorable Mention both junior and senior year...Was the team captain of the swim team senior year...Also received the All-King-Co Academic Award senior year...Was a member of the West Coast aquatics Club Team.
Personal: Was born on July 10, 1991...Parents are Lisa and Stephen Olson... Hometown is Bothell, WA...Her dad was a member of the football team at Denison University and Miami University...Has relatives in Norway that she visited when she was seven years old... Was also recruited by Denison University and Rider University...Chose to attend USD because of the location, size, and swim team... Lists her favorite hobbies as cooking, baking, traveling, and shopping.
What is your most memorable swimming/diving moment? Why?
I have sooo many from the past two years! One of my favorites was the conference meet my freshman year. We went to San Antonio, Texas and swam in a great pool there. It was such a fun trip and I did well because I was having so much fun. Everyone[apos]s parents came and cheering for each other, every race, was so much fun!
What are you looking forward to in the upcoming season?
I[apos]m really looking forward to living on the beach and being able to do more dryland workouts there. I[apos]m also looking forward to trying a couple of new things with training and my race mindset and having three new freshmen on our team! It[apos]s going to be fun.
What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Well, right now I[apos]m interested in communications and journalism, but that may change. I think I[apos]ll be living somewhere else (not that I don[apos]t like San Diego!), maybe New York :), and working, cooking, and traveling.
