Biography
SOPHOMORE (2024-2025)
- Her new career best 200 Backstroke race performance is now also the all-time best race in Torero’s history (2:00.84)
- Earned MPSF First-Team honors in 500 Freestyle (4:58.24), 1650 Freestyle (17:09.49), and 200 Backstroke (2:00.84)
- Finished first place in the San Diego State Distance Meet in the 300 Yard Individual Medley
- Led USD with a team-best 17th place finish (1:10.23) at the MPSF Open Swim meet in Long Beach out of 45 competitors in the 5k Open Water race
FRESHMAN (2023-2024)
- Earned a trio of second place finishes in the 200 yard backstroke, 1,650 yard freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle at home against Utah Tech
- Once again earned a second place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.96 in a meet against UC San Diego
- Finished in seventh place in both the 1,650 yard freestyle and the 200 yard backstroke at the MPSF Championships in St. George, Utah
- Was the highest scoring Torero, placing in the top eight, in both 200 and 1650 at the MSPF Championships (2/8)
- Voted 2023-2024 Swimmer of the Year by her team (2/8)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Hilton Head High School in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
- Competes in distance freestyle, backstroke and open water
PERSONAL
- Born to Heather and Carlton Bruner in Atlanta, GA
- Has a brother, Cohen, who also competes in swimming and diving for Navy
- Is considering a major in Architecture
