Biography
FRESHMAN - TRACK (2026)
- Recorded her first collegiate victory finishing the 5000 meters at 17:55.15 during the Arnie Robinson Invite (March 20)
- Logged a personal record in the 1500 meters at 4:51.98, recording USD’s best time to also finish 12th at the Mangrum Invite (March 27)
- Clocked in a 4:54.02 in the 1500 meters and also helped USD’s in the 4x400 meter relay to a 4:24.36 total time in her collegiate debut at the PLNU Sea Lion Invite (March 14)
- Broke two personal records at the Pomona Pitzer Invite (April 11), one in the 800 meters at 2:25.12 and the other in the 1500 meters at 4:49.88, which was the 29th best run in program history
- Shaved off 10 seconds in the 5000 meters to set a personal record at 17:47.57 to finish in eighth place at the Leopard Distance Carnival (April 16-17)
- Wrapped up her freshman campaign with a 4:50.64 in the 1500 meters at the Steve Scott Invite (May 1-2) and a personal record in the 5000 meters at 17:36.04 during the Franson Last Chance Meet (May 8-9)
FRESHMAN - XC (2025)
- Appeared in four races for the Toreros
- Made her collegiate debut at the Aztec Coastal Classic (Aug. 29) where she led the Toreros and finished the 5K in 16th place at 18:47
- Finished second on the team and 12th overall in her first 6K race at The Master’s Invitational (Sept. 20) with a time of 22:33.5, helping the Toreros place second
- Wrapped up her freshman campaign finished second on the team with 22:36.2 at the NCAA West Regionals (Nov. 14)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Liberty Creek High School in Gallatin, Tenn.
- Finished third at the TSSAA DI A-AA 5000m her senior year
- 2024 TSSAA DI A-AA State Champion in cross country and 2024 TSSAA DI A 3200m and 4x800m State Champion
- Finished second at the 2024 Tennessee HS Indoor Championships in the two-mile race
- TSSAA DI AA Regional 5000m Cross Country Champion and TSSAA DI AAA Regional 3200m Track and Field Champion as a freshman
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Karen and Alan Tackett, born in Nashville
- Has a sister, Kess
- On why she chose USD: "I love the ocean and am also big into the film industry, making California perfect. I also loved the school size and was looking for a team and coach that were a great fit."
- Used to be in choir and band, loves to sing and still does it frequently ... Can play Careless Whisper on the saxophone
