Ali Gibson was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Finance and Administration at the University of San Diego in 2024 after originally joining the department as a Budget Analyst in 2021. In her current role, Gibson serves as the chief financial officer for the athletics department, overseeing budgets and financial operations for all 17 varsity sports programs.
In addition to leading the department’s financial strategy and administration, Gibson serves as the athletics department’s human resources liaison, overseeing hiring processes and personnel operations across the department. She also serves as the sport supervisor for women’s basketball, men’s soccer, beach volleyball, and swim and dive.
Before arriving at USD, Gibson worked in international finance at KPMG, where she gained extensive experience in financial operations and strategic planning.
A former student-athlete herself, Gibson played women’s basketball at Oregon State University. Internationally, she has represented Puerto Rico in competition and competed in the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games as a member of the Puerto Rican women’s basketball national team.
