Gracie Sogocio

Gracie Sogocio joined the University of San Diego Athletics Department in June 2026, currently serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In her role, Sogocio oversees athletic training for softball and men's and women's cross country and track, providing care and injury prevention for student-athletes in those programs.

Before joining USD, Sogocio spent one year as a seasonal athletic trainer at the University of Virginia, working with the men's and women's track and field and cross country teams — primarily pole vaulters, jumpers and multi-event athletes. She helped oversee long-term care for student-athletes, created return-to-activity protocols, and provided medical coverage for home and away track and field and cross country meets.

Sogocio completed her master's degree in athletic training at Indiana University, where she worked with the football, men's soccer, women's rowing and softball programs. She also completed clinical immersions with Georgetown University men's lacrosse and the Buffalo Bills.
Outside of USD, Sogocio enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, pilates, cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with her two cats, Hazelnut and Walnut.
