Luke Stine joined the University of San Diego Athletics Department as Assistant Director of Equipment Operations in April 2026. In his role, Stine is responsible for the design, procurement, inventory management, issuance, laundering, repair and transportation of apparel and equipment for USD's football, men's soccer, softball and beach volleyball programs.

Before joining USD, Stine spent two years as a Graduate Assistant with the Missouri State football program, becoming the first equipment graduate assistant in program history. In 2023, he interned with the New York Jets during training camp, appearing in the team's "1 Jets Drive" docuseries and HBO's "Hard Knocks," while also serving as a player-coach for the Central Michigan lacrosse club team and an assistant coach for football at Okemos High School.

Stine spent four years as head student manager for Central Michigan football, where he was part of a staff that won two bowl games in the same season — the 2021 Barstool Arizona Bowl and the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. He began his career in athletics as a bat boy for the Lansing Lugnuts, the Toronto Blue Jays' Single-A affiliate, before being promoted to visiting clubhouse manager at age 17.

Stine earned his bachelor's degree in applied arts in sport management, with a minor in athletic coaching, from Central Michigan University in 2023, and completed his master's degree in professional studies, with a graduate certificate in sport management, from Missouri State University in the spring of 2026.

Originally from East Lansing, Michigan, Stine now lives and works in San Diego.
