Quentin Johnson joined the University of San Diego as a Development Assistant for the Torero Athletic Fund in January 2025. In his role, Johnson supports the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Development Office, assisting the department's development officers with donor relations, stewardship, gift processing, campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
Johnson manages donor data and CRM records, coordinates donor communications and oversees the department's student interns. He assists with the planning and execution of fundraising events and leads development-related hospitality and gameday operations for major athletics events — including the NCAA Men's Tennis Regional Tournament, the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament and San Diego's hosting of New Zealand's World Cup team — in addition to USD's regular-season contests. He also manages sport-focused fundraising for women's volleyball, swimming & diving, and cross country and track, and provides administrative and operational support across campaigns and special projects.
Before joining USD, Johnson spent nearly two years at VOLO Sports in San Diego, where he helped the location surpass $1 million in revenue in its first season while scheduling and coordinating more than 200 part-time staff members.
Johnson earned his bachelor's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in management and a minor in real estate, from San Diego State in 2024. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration, with a specialization in sports, also from San Diego State, in December 2025.
Born and raised in Arcadia, California, Johnson grew up playing basketball for four years. He is the son of TJ and Seema Johnson and has a twin sister, Shayli Johnson.
