(Morley Field, San Diego, CA) -- At today's 2003 USD Cross Country Invitational, held at Morley Field in Balboa Park, Alliant International University won the men's team title with a score of 37 points over the 3.1 mile, hilly course. Alliant edged out second place Point Loma Nazarene (38) by one point. The USD Toreros placed third with 48 points and were followed by California Baptist (149 points) and Christian Heritage College (152 points). AIU's Josephat Keino won the men's individual title with a time of 16:26. He was followed by PLNU's Ryan Burnett (16:29), AIU's Iderse Osman (16:31), USD's Brian Peterson (16:50) and USD's Steve Trudelle (16:55). USD's Brent Warnken placed 10th with a time of 17:19.
