(Malibu, CA) - Nothing was decided after 110 minutes of soccer Friday afternoon in Malibu as San Diego and host Pepperdine played to a 0-0 tie. No. 23 San Diego (10-7-2; 4-1-1 WCC) came into the contest in a tie atop the West Coast Conference standings. Pepperdine (8-5-3; 1-3-2 WCC) entered having won five of six playing on its home turf of Tari Frahm Rokus Field. Offensively San Diego was held to five shots while freshman goalkeeper Karen Cook recorded nine saves anchoring the Torero `D.' USD has just one match remaining on its 2004 regular season schedule, hosting Loyola Marymount next Friday at 5pm.

The Pepperdine women's soccer team and No. 23 San Diego played to a 0-0 tie in a West Coast Conference (WCC) match Friday afternoon. With the tie, the Waves moved to 8-5-3 overall and 1-3-2 in WCC play while the Toreros saw their record go to 10-7-2 on the season and 4-1-1 in conference action.

Pepperdine held a statistical advantage in the contest as it out-shot San Diego, 15-5, including a 9-3 edge in shots-on goal. The Waves had a number of scoring chances throughout the match but Toreros' goalkeeper Karen Cook came up on several occasions as she totaled nine saves.

San Diego's best scoring chance came late in the second overtime period when Amy Epsten got behind a Waves' defender but was unable to get a shot off as junior goalkeeper Anna Picarelli and prevented Epsten from getting off a shot.
