San Diego Dominates Hawaii-Hilo 18-0 Friday

(San Diego, CA) - San Diego evened its season record to 3-3 after a lopsided 18-0 seven-inning victory over host Hawaii-Hilo Friday night in Hilo. Junior third baseman Ryan Lilly hit his first homerun of the year and sophomore right-hander Josh Butler pitched six scoreless innings for USD (3-3).

The Toreros sent 13 batters to the plate during an eight-run third inning. Lilly, reserve infielder Justin Snyder and senior Randy Curtis each drove in three runs. Butler, who was relieved by senior lefty Andy Martin, picks up his first win of the season.

Hawaii-Hilo (0-3) and San Diego wrap up a five-game series today with a double-header scheduled to begin at 1pm (PT).
