The University of San Diego softball team travels to cross-town rival San Diego State Wednesday for their first of three meetings this season.
The Toreros are coming off of a 2-2 record from the UC Riverside Invitational last weekend with wins over St. Mary's and San Jose State. USD is currently tied for 2nd place in the PCSC with Santa Clara and behind LMU (4-3 overall).
The Aztecs are currently 3-1 in the Mountain West Conference and in sole possession of 2nd place behind BYU. San Diego State is coming off a loss to #2 UCLA, and wins over Oklahoma State and UMass at the Campbell Cartier Classic.
USD went 1-1 against the Aztecs in 2005. The last meeting between the two teams ended 2-0 (Mar. 9, 2005) with the Toreros victorious for the first time in team history.
The game will be played at the San Diego State softball complex on Wednesday Feb. 15 with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 pm.
