SAN DIEGO (AP) - Ross DeRogatis scored 25 points and Nir Cohen added a career-high 24 points as San Diego overcame a large first-half deficit for a 97-85 win over Pepperdine on Monday.
San Diego (15-11, 5-6 West Coast) trailed 23-6 with 11:31 left in the first half after Pepperdine scored 17 points.
But DeRogatis and Cohen led San Diego back as the Toreros went on a 34-16 run the rest of the half for a 40-35 halftime lead.
San Diego increased its lead to 49-38 less than four minutes into the second half and maintained a double-digit lead for most of the rest of the game.
Marvin Lea scored 21 points for Pepperdine (6-21, 2-9), which lost its fifth straight game.
