Final Results

Kauai, HI - The USD men's golf team ran away with the Kauai Collegiate Invite, shooting a final round team score of 272 to finish at 825 (39-under par). USD outdistanced runner-up UNC Wilmington by 15 strokes. USD's Jake Yount carded a final round score of 67 to finish in second place at 202 (14-under par) as he tallied three rounds of 72-63-67. Yount was edged out for medalist honors by UNC-Wilmington's Derek Wallace who finished one stroke better at 201 (67-70-64). Hawaii native Alex Ching fired his third straight sub-70 score with a 67 today to finish tied for 4th at 205 (69-69-67). Torero senior Blake Trimble also turned in a top-10 finish with his three-round total of 207 (74-64-69). Rounding out USD scoring was Jason Shano (t19th at 213; 71-73-69) and Dale Smith (t53rd at 222; 80-71-71).

Following USD and UNC Wilmington in the top five was San Jose State (843), Drake (845) and Utah (852).
