SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The USD women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Wilson ITA Southwest Regional this Saturday at the Barnes Tennis Center in Ocean Beach, as the lone pair still competing in main draw competition for the Toreros, sophomores Juliette Coupez (Lesquin, France) and Marite Raygada (Lima, Peru), was bounced from the tournament. The Torero tandem dropped Saturday's match to Courtney Byron and Stephanie Hammel of UCI, 8-4. Coupez and Raygada had previously won two consecutive matches before reaching the quarters of the doubles competition. The first victory for the pair came on Thursday in the Round of 32 against Nina Jaworowski and Whitney Paluch of Cal State Northridge (8-2) and the second came while facing SDSU's Julia Trunk and Julia Wais (8-5) in the Round of 16.

San Diego gets back to work Nov. 6th at the SDSU Fall Classic II, hosted by cross-town rivals SDSU Aztecs.
