After the Gaels pulled to within three at 11-8 on a pair of Amber Coaty free throws, a Morgan Henderson 3-pointer ignited a 21-2 run that featured an up tempo run and gun style of offense to give the Toreros all the momentum and a 32-10 lead with 9:56 to go. San Diego never let their foot off the gas as they closed out the half on a 15-11 run, giving USD a 47-21 lead going into the break.

The second half was more of the same as San Diego was hitting on all cylinders as they gradually built up their lead to as many as 44 at 84-40 on a Sara VanderHorst free throw with 4:38 to go in the game. The Toreros never looked back as they cruised their way to a 94-52 victory.
