Final WCC Results 
Vallejo, CA - The USD men's golf team turned in the best final day team score at 288 to move up three spots and finish in a tie for third place (866) with Pepperdine at the 2009 West Coast Conference Championships. The San Francisco Dons (862) edged out runner-up Loyola Marymount (863) to claim the 2009 WCC trophy. Santa Clara (873), Gonzaga (873), Portland (883) and Saint Mary's College (891) rounded out the team scoring. Torero seniors Blake Trimble (3rd) and Ian Coffman (tie-8th) both finished in the top-10.
Trimble fired his second straight 69 to finish with an outstanding 4-under par 212 at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Course (par 72; 6,782 yards) and finish 3rd all by himself. His 69 today was the low round, only matched by Pepperdine's Josh Anderson. On today's back nine Trimble eagled the par-5 12th hole, and closed with back-to-back birdies on 17 & 18 for a 3-under par 33. Trimble, who entered the final round tied for 12th, moved up nine spots in his final round today. Coffman closed with a final round of 75 and finished tied for 8th place at 215 (71-69-75).
LMU's Greg Moss won medalist honors with his 7-under par 209 (67-68-74) as he edged out USF's Domingo Jojola who carded a three-round total of 210 (70-67-73). Rounding out USD scoring was freshman Alex Ching (t15 at 217; 74-72-71), sophomore Jason Shano (t24 at 224; 78-73-73) and sophomore Gunner Wiebe (t29 at 227; 76-73-78).
