Final Results 
(Hollister, CA) - The 24th-ranked USD golf shot a final round team score of 286 to finish in solo third place (871, +7) at the 2011 West Coast Conference Championships being held at San Juan Oaks Golf Club (par 72, 6712 yardage) in Hollister, California. San Francisco won the team title (860, -4), while USD Torero Alex Ching and USF junior Taylor Travis tied for first overall at 212. Travis won the two-man playoff on the second hole with a birdie on the par-5 9th hole to take home medalist honors and the 2011 WCC Individual Champion trophy. On the first playoff hole, also played on the 9th hole, both players scored a par.
Ching, who was -8 through 16 holes today, shot a final round 67 to move up from 10th place into a tie for first at 212 (75-70-67). His 67 was matched by Torero freshman Manav Shah (T-10th at 219 ) for low round of the day and championship. Rounding out USD scoring was Ben Murray (T-13 at 220; 70-76-74), Gunner Wiebe (T-25 at 226; 71-76-79) and Scott Brace (T-31 at 229; 76-75-78).
