(Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawaii) - The USD golf team finished in a tie for 10th place (16 teams) at the First Annual Warrior-Wave Intercollegiate presented by St. Regis Princeville Resort. USD shot a final round team score of 300 for a three-round total of 880. Baylor won the team title with a final score of 846 (-18), with North Carolina State (853) and UC Irvine (858) rounding out the top three. Albin Choi of North Carolina State won medalist honors as he finished at 10-under par 206 (69-68-69).
USD sophomore Grant Forrest was the Toreros top finisher as he finished in a tie for 23rd at 218 (70-70-78). He was followed by Alexis Gemme-Piacente (T26 at 220; 75-71-74), Linus Vaisanen (T45 at 223; 73-78-72), Alex Chiarella (T50 at 224; 75-72-77) and Mathias Dahl (T65 at 229; 77-75-77).
This was USD's last fall event. They'll return to action in February (11-12) when they host The Farms Collegiate Invitational at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA.
