SAN DIEGO, Calif. - University of San Diego senior defender Julian Ringhof was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team on Friday. Ringhof (Sexau, Germany) has a 3.97 GPA as a mechanical engineering major. He was named to the Capital One Academic All-District team earlier this season. This is the first time Ringhof has earned WCC All-Academic honors.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
On the field, Ringhof has played in 17 games, starting 16 of those. He has scored a goal and added an assist to go along with 16 shots on the year.
Ringhof and the Toreros close out the 2013 season at Santa Clara on Sunday at 1 pm.
