Toreros Win Streak Snapped by Lions, Fall 1-0

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USD men's soccer team (10-5-4, 6-1-0) fell to Loyola Marymount 1-0 on the road Saturday evening, snapping their six match win streak. With the WCC championship and NCAA automatic berth already locked up, 19 players saw action as the Toreros utilized the season finale as a final tune-up for their upcoming NCAA Tournament match.

After a scoreless first half, the Lions found the back of the net in the 57th minute when Sebastian De Rada scored on a chip shot after being assisted by Adrien Perez and Mark Dotseth.



Thomas Olsen was saddled with the loss after making four saves and allowing one goal in 65 minutes. Senior Drew Ilijevski finished up the match and recorded three saves.



The Toreros finished with nine shots, putting three on goal. The Lions countered with 15 shot attempts, and eight shots on goal. The Lions end the regular season with a 9-4-6 record and 3-1-3 mark in the WCC.



The Toreros finish the regular season 10-5-4 with an impressive 6-1-0 record in WCC matches. They will find out who and where they play for the NCAA Tournament on Monday at 10:00 a.m. during the NCAA Selection show, which airs on NCAA.com.
