DAVIS, Calif. - The USD men's soccer team (1-0-3) remained undefeated by tying UC Davis 1-1 on the road Sunday afternoon to give the Toreros their third consecutive draw.
Torrey DeArmas scored the lone goal for USD off an assist from
Connor Brandt.
The Toreros were the first to strike, scoring in the 33rd minute. Senior Connor Brandt was marked by two defenders but was able to find junior Torrey DeArmas in the box, who finished in the lower left corner of the goal. The Toreros would take their 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Aggies evened it up in the 52nd minute after Matt Sheldon scored off a rebound of a missed penalty kick by Martin Del Campo.
Redshirt freshman Thomas Olsen recorded three saves in the match and brought his record to 1-0-3. The Aggies' keeper, Kris Schultz, recorded two saves.
The Toreros held a slight advantage in shot attempts (9-8), but had seven corners to the Aggies three.
USD will return to action on Friday when they host Bradley at 7:00 p.m.
