Oct. 27, 2015 Canace Finley of the women's volleyball team has been named the USD Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 19 to Oct 26.
During the past week Senior opposite Finley had stellar performances at the last three games. Finley recorded 14 kills against cross-town rival San Diego State University, she then had 6 kills against Loyola Marymount and most recently recorded 11 kills and 2 blocks against Pepperdine last Saturday. The Toreros have now improved to 16-6 overall, move to 9-1 in the WCC, extend their winning streak to seven, and San Diego is now in sole possession of first place in the WCC.
Don't miss the USD volleyball team when they return to action on Friday, as they head to Provo, Utah to take on No. 13 BYU in a crucial WCC match at 4 p.m.
