SAN DIEGO — San Diego volleyball has announced the signing of libero/defensive specialist Addy Wiese, who will join the Toreros as a freshman for the 2026 season.
Wiese, who hails from Wildwood, Missouri, attended Lafayette High School, where she earned first-team all-district and second-team all-conference honors. She was also recognized as an AVCA All-Region and AVCA Phenom selection and earned UA-Next honors twice.
On the club side, Wiese competed for Rockwood Thunder 18 Elite, helping her squad finish third at Nationals during her 16s year and capturing three state championships throughout her career. She compiled more than 1,000 digs, 977 receptions, 207 assists, and 80 aces over the course of her high school career. Wiese was also named a Scholar-Athlete and member of the National Honor Society.
She comes from an athletic family — her father played baseball at Missouri, and her sister Jayden plays volleyball at Ithaca College.
"We're fired up to add Addy to USD Volleyball," said head coach
Jennifer Petrie. "She's fast, relentless, chases down everything, and will put her body on the floor to extend rallies. She embraces the hard work of defense and will raise the standard of our backcourt from day one."
Wiese and the Toreros will begin their 2026 campaign in August.
