PRINCEVILLE, HAWAII - The Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational wrapped-up on Wednesday in Hawaii. It was a tough tournament for the Toreros as they finished 32-over-par as a team (306-292-298, 896).
Alex Chiarella (74-73-72, 219) improved his score for the second consecutive day and finished tied for 43rd, the best finish on the team.
Senior Skyler Finnell carded a 70 in the third round, the best round by a Torero over the three days, on his way to finishing (82-74-70, 226) in a tie for 73rd. Freshmen Alvaro Escalada and George Gardner had difficult rounds Wednesday shooting 80 and 82 respectively. Escalada finished tied for 79th (76-73-80, 229) while Gardner came in 87th (79-76-82, 237).
Regan Kilpatrick was consistent carding a 78-75-78, 231 and finishing in 82nd. Nick Baines completed the tournament tied for 69th, scoring 77-72-76, 225.The team has completed their fall schedule and won't compete again until Feb. 8, at the Farms Collegiate Invitational in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
