Jones Final Stats

(Valencia, Calif.) - The USD men's golf team placed 9th overall at the 2015 Jones Invitational being played at Valencia Country Club (par 72, yardage 7,019). The Toreros shot a final round team score of 295 to finish with a three-round total of 887 (+23). The USC Trojans won the fifteen team event with their 14-under par total of 850 and finished seventeen strokes better than runner-up Kennesaw State. Winthrop's Zach Seabolt won a playoff over USC's Sean Crocker that required two holes to earn medalist honors at 8-under par 208 (73-65-70).

San Diego was paced by Alex Chiarella who placed 26th overall at 5-over par 221 (73-75-73). He was followed by Grant Forrest (T35 at 224, 76-72-76), Mathias Dahl (T35 at 224, 78-75-71), Colin Pearson (T45 at 226, 73-75-78) and Will Twitty (T48 at 227, 73-79, 75). Skyler Finnell, playing as an individual, finished tied for 72nd at 235 (81-73-81).

Up next for the USD Toreros is the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Arizona. The three-day event will be held February 28th thru March 2nd at the OMNI Tucson National - Catalina Course.
