March 1, 2015 Day Two NIT 
(Tucson, AZ) - The USD golf team is competing at the 2015 National Invitational Tournament and were still in 7th place (582, +6) after day two of the event after shooting a team score of 288 today. Cal (571, -5) and New Mexico (573, -3) are at the top of the team leaderboard on the Tucson National Golf Course (par 72, yardage 7,200). Scott Fernandez of Iowa State fired a 66 today to move into the top individual spot at 136 (-8).
Colin Pearson and Will Twitty shot the team's lowest scores today with Pearson carding a 70 and Twitty a 71. After two rounds Grant Forrest continues to lead the Toreros as he is in a tie for 25th at 145 (+1, 72-73). He is followed by Twitty (T27 at 146, 75-71), Mathias Dahl (T34 at 147, 73-74), Pearson (T34 at 147, 77-70) and Alex Chiarella (T55 at 151, 74-77). Regan Kilpatrick, playing as an individual, shot his second consecutive 75 and is tied for 51st at 150.
Round three will be played on Monday with the three-day tournament wrapping up.
