March 10, 2015 Final Lamkin SD Classic 
(Chula Vista, Calif.) - The USD men's golf team turned in a solid showing at the 2015 Lamkin San Diego Classic which they co-hosted with San Diego State the past two days at the San Diego Country Club (par 72, yardage 7,033). The Toreros placed 4th overall with a team score of even par 864 (287-288-289). The No. 17 Washington Huskies won the team title with their 10-under par total of 854, followed by No. 24 North Carolina (860, -4) and No. 29 New Mexico (863, -1).
Cheng-Tsung Pan of Washington, the No. 1 player (Golfstat.com) in the nation, fired a final round 67 to finish in a tie for first with teammate Corey Pereira at 8-under par 208. Pan carded rounds of 66-75-67, while Pereira recorded rounds of 69-71-68. The UW duo edged out Victor Lange of Louisiana Tech who finished one stroke back at 7-under par 209 (72-68-69).
USD seniors Grant Forrest and Mathias Dahl finished in a tie for 6th overall for the best showing by local players. Forrest shot a final round 1-under par 71 to finish at 3-under par 213 (72-70-71), while Dahl matched Forrest at 213 after a final round 72. Rounding out USD team scoring was Alex Chiarella (T15 at 217, 72-73-72), Will Twitty (T33 at 223, 74-73-76) and Colin Pearson (T47 at 227, 75-78-74).
Toreros competing as individuals included Daniel Lopez (T45 at 226, 75-72-79), Skyler Finnell (T45 at 226, 73-78-75), Regan Kilpatrick (T52 at 229, 79-71-79), Nick Baines (T66 at 233, 79-75-79) and Michael Boylan (T68 at 234, 73-78-83).
