The Toreros turned in a solid first half in taking a 36-30 lead. Olin Carter III buried a three just before the halftime buzzer to lead USD with 10 points. He was followed by Duda Sanadze with 9 points; Sanadze helped USD to a quick lead making his first four shots. The Lions led 59-50 with 5:27 to go, but the Toreros battled back to get within two at 63-61 with 1:02 to go on a Marcus Harris three-pointer. Jacko answered with a big dunk and would add two free throws to put the game away. For USD, Carter made two of three free throws with one tick left on the clock for the final score.

Freshman guard Olin Carter chipped in with 12 points, marking the third time this season he has reached that total. Senior center Jito Kok moved into the #4 spot all-time in the WCC for blocked shots with 241. With 6 more he'll pass by SCU's John Bryant (246) into the #3 slot. For the game USD shot 43.8% from the field and out-rebounded the Lions 43-29. One area that hurt the Toreros was in the turnover department as they totaled 17 to LMU's 5.
