Princeville, HI â€" The USD men's golf team is competing at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville. After day one the Toreros are tied for 11th (19 teams) with a team score of 296 (+8). Mississippi holds the team lead with their 11-under par total of 277. George Gardner and Daniel Lopez turned in USD's best score today with their first round 1-under par 71. Mateusz Gradecki of East Tennessee State is the clubhouse leader at 7-under par 65.

Rounding out USD scorers was Nathan Zhao (T74 at 77, +5), Nick Baines (T74 at 77, +5) and Camilo Mexsen (T82 at 7, +6). David Ricciardelli, playing as an individual, carded a first round 84 (+12). The three-day, three-round event continues on Monday morning.
