Oct. 5, 2016 SAN DIEGO, Calif. - October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), and the fifth-ranked University of San Diego women's volleyball team is going to help support NBCAM by teaming up with the Side-Out Foundation with the "Dig Pink" event, on October 22 against Pepperdine University inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The Side Out Foundation, uses resources to help conduct research, educate and promote awareness for breast cancer throughout the community. Each year, Side Out organizes a Dig Pink event, where they ask volleyball programs to designate a match in October as the "Dig Pink" match. The main goal of the event is to promote breast cancer education and awareness in the community.
Side out has a set a goal for this season for USD is to raise $1,000. Fans who wish to donate, can do so at the marketing table in the lobby of the Jenny Craig Pavilion at all home matches in October, or they can give online if they wish by clicking here.
This year the Toreros, will host their "Dig Pink" event at home against Pepperdine University on Oct. 22 at 12:00 p.m. USD Volleyball players will be collecting donations throughout the month around campus and in the community, as well as engaging individuals in breast cancer awareness; they will also be honoring those affected and lost to breast cancer by wearing pink warm-ups and pink jerseys for all of October.

October 8th- free temporary tattoo giveaway, and autograph day with the Toreros.
October 20th- Faculty/Staff Night.
October 22nd- Dig Pink Game, kids clinic post game, autograph day, and kids shirt giveaway.
