Final Stats

SPOKANE, Wash. - San Diego traveled to Washington to play their third conference match of the season. The No. 49 ranked team defeated Gonzaga in a 4-1 decision. The Toreros improved to 10-7, while Gonzaga fell to 6-7.

San Diego clinched the doubles point after winning on both courts one and two. Filip Vittek and Joshua Page defeated Sam Feit and Raudhan O'Sullivan on court one, 6-1. Guus Koevermans and Alexandros Araouzos, who played at the No. 2 spot, beat Vincent Rettke and Kyle Everly 6-3. And on court three, Joel Gamerov and Gui Osorio left their match unfinished but in the lead against Ronzai Saurombe and Simon Homedes Dualde.

In singles play the Toreros kept up their momentum, taking the next two singles points. Alexandros Araouzos finished first with a quick and dominating 6-1, 6-1 win against Simon Homedes Dualde. Joel Gamerov followed soon after in a defeat over Kyle Everly on court five, 6-3, 6-3. The Toreros were up 3-0 against the Bulldogs.

Joshua Page's singles match against Sam Feit was the only loss of the day for the Toreros. The last Torero to win, and the match to clinch the victory for USD, was from Guus Koevermans. He won his match against Ronzai Saurombe 6-3, 7-6 (8-6).

San Diego improved to 2-1 in conference play. They have the opportunity to bring home another conference win on Saturday when they play Portland at 11 a.m.
