FULLERTON, Calif. - Amber Michel made three saves but San Diego was unable to slow down Fullerton's attack, dropping a 3-0 decision Friday night.

The Toreros (1-8) played well defensively but fell behind in the first half when the Titans (6-2-2), Sarah Fajnor, converted a penalty kick.

That was all USD allowed Fullerton through 81 minutes. The Toreros had trouble getting going offensively, however, and could not find the equalizing goal.

USD pushed forward late to try to level the score and the Titans capitalized with a pair of goals in the final nine minutes to extend the lead to, 3-0, and put the game out of reach.

Five different Toreros registered at least one shot and Katie Lapomarda led the squad with two.

USD will look to get back on track Sunday at 2 p.m. (PT) when it takes on CSUN. The match will be streamed via BigWest.tv and live statistics will be available.
