SAN DIEGO – San Diego concludes its three-game homestand Saturday at 7 p.m. PT when it plays host to Jackson State in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The Toreros (4-1) have won each of the first two games of its homestand, defeating San Diego Christian (Nov. 15, 95-47) and Colorado (Nov. 20, 70-64).
The Tigers (1-4) earned their first victory this past Wednesday with a 81-68 win against Chicago State during the final day of the Cayman Island Classic Mainland Invitational.

Isaiah Pineiro scored a game-high 27 points and San Diego erased an eight-point second half deficit to earn a 70-64 victory against Colorado on Tuesday night in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
• Trailing 45-37 with 12:16 to play in the game, the Toreros (4-1) went on a 17-9 run over the next 6:19 to tie the game at, 54-54. USD sealed the victory with a 10-4 run during the final two minutes, including going 8-for-8 from the free throw line during that stretch.

Olin Carter III provided the fireworks in the first half with 16 points and four 3-pointers, and Pineiro delivered the final blows with 15 points in the second half. Carter III finished with 22 points, while Pineiro finished one point shy of his career high with 27.

Yauhen Massalski filled up the stat sheet with a game-high 14 rebounds, seven points, four assists and three blocks.
• USD was held to its lowest shooting percentage of the season at 37 percent but the Toreros made up for it at the free throw line where they went 18-for-21 (86 percent).
• USD outrebounded Colorado, 41-35, and was particularly impressive on the offensive end where it held a 15-10 advantage and capitalized for 18 second-chance points. Along with Massalski's 14 boards, Pineiro grabbed seven and
Tyler Williams and
Isaiah Wright notched five apiece.

Isaiah Pineiro led the Toreros in scoring in three of the first five games and
Olin Carter III has led the team in the other two contests.
• Pineiro is nearly averaging a double-double with 21.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He is also averaging 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Pineiro is shooting 51 percent from the field and 45 percent from 3-point range.
• Carter III is averaging 17.8 points per game and is shooting 54 percent from the field. He has been one of USD's most dangerous shooter from behind the arc, connecting on 43 percent of his 3-point attempts. Carter III is also contributing 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
