SAN DIEGO – San Diego will host crosstown rival San Diego State, on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.Â

After going 1-1 in their USD Thanksgiving Tournament over the holiday weekend, the Toreros (2-3) will take on the Aztecs (4-2) as part of their tough nonconference schedule.

Madison Pollock scored a career-high 19 points, but San Diego fell short to No. 18 California 70-53 on Saturday afternoon in the JCP. It was USD's second top-25 matchup in a week.

• The Toreros and the Bears were knotted at halftime 29-29, but a surge by Cal in the second half pushed the Bears over the top in the final game of the Thanksgiving Tournament.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST SAN DIEGO STATEÂ
• The Aztecs lead the all-time series, 13-23. Last season, the Toreros lost a nail-biter to SDSU, 77-76, in a game that saw 13 ties and 24 lead changes. After USD took a one-point lead, the Aztecs scored a driving lay-up with eight seconds remaining to secure the win.
