LAST TIME OUT
  • The Toreros offense destroyed cross-town rivals San Diego State on Sept. 7, scoring a season-high five goals to secure a 5-2 win at Torero Stadium.
  • USD scored a goal in the third minute of the match and never looked back, holding advantages in shots, 15-12, and corner kicks, 5-3. Kelsi Dantu led USD with two goals, one in each half.
  • The Toreros lost in a back and forth battle to No. 4 USC, 3-2, at McAlister Field on Sept. 9.
  • Milan Moses shocked the Trojans with her goal in 11th minute, as they kept their opponents scoreless in the last 441 minutes they played.

CAL STATE FULLERTON ALL-TIME RECORD
  • USD has a winning all-time record of 11-7, against Cal State Fullerton. In their last meeting, the Toreros played tough but dropped a 3-0 decision at Titan Stadium.
  • USD has a winning record at home against the Titans, 8-2-0, winning the last four matches played in Torero Stadium.
UC IRVINE ALL-TIME RECORD
  • The Toreros have a winning all-time record of 9-7-1, against the Anteaters. Last time out, Amber Michel stopped a penalty kick and made five saves but it was not enough to overcome an early deficit as the Toreros dropped a 1-0 decision against UC Irvine.
  • USD secured a 1-0 win against UC Irvine in 2013 at Torero Stadium.
OFFENSE IGNITES
  • Mason and Moses have been the most dangerous up top. Moses leads the team with four goals and 10 points. She is ranked second in the WCC in points per a game,1.43, and goals per a game, 0.57. Mason leads the WCC in shots per game, 4.71.
  • As a team, eight different Toreros have scored the 13 goals USD has recorded so far this year.
QUALITY DEFENDING
  • Michel has registered five or more saves in five-of-seven matches this year, including a career-best 13 stops against Georgia (Aug. 19). She leads the WCC in saves per game (6.14).
  • The Toreros backline – consisting primarily of Emma Barrow, Kelley Carusa, Julianne De Armas, Michaela Foster- has played well to limit the opposition's attack and keep the Toreros within striking distance in each game.
FRESH LEGS
  • Moses, the red shirt junior transfer from SDSU, has made an immediate impact to offense. She leads the team in goals and shots on goal.
  • Foster looks to contribute more to the back line. The Freshman recently returned from her commitment to New Zealand's U20 national team that competed in the FIFA Women's U20 World Cup in France. In her second match as a Torero, she scored her first collegiate goal off a corner kick against Utah Valley (Aug. 31).
  • Freshman Madison Louderback has started in five of the seven matches for the Toreros. She scored her first collegiate goal against Utah Valley to help secure a 4-1 victory (Aug. 31).
